Randy Gene Moss

Randy Gene Moss was born on the 13th of February, 1977. He is an American footballer. He was an American football player who played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) which included the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. He is widely regarded as the best wide receiver of all-time along with Jerry Rice, he holds the NFL single-season touchdown reception record (23 in 2007) in addition to the NFL single-season record of touchdown receptions for a rookie (17 in 1998) and is second in the NFL all-time regular season touchdown list, with 156. Moss was well known for his prowess in securing an elusive catch and the term "mossed" has become part of the football's language. His career began as a studio analyst for ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown and Tuesday Night Countdown shows. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. He attended DuPont High School. It was one of two schools that later merged into Riverside High School. There Moss excelled in football, basketball, baseball track, as well as other sports. Randy was also a member of the school's debate team. Moss helped lead the DuPont Panthers football team to two consecutive state championships in 1992, 1993. His most prominent position was wide receiver. But Moss also played free safety, punted kickoffs, and was the team's punter and kicker. He received the Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football Player's of the Year in 1994. Parade magazine named him to their All-American high school football teams in 1995. In 2009 they named him one the top 50 high school footballers of all time.
