American actor Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8, 1967). Her most notable roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place and Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal. She was also on the show as Cheryl in According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and was raised in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father. Lora Thorne was her mom and a psychotherapist. They divorced at the age of seven. Courtney was just seven, and she was with both parents at various stages. Jennifer, her older sister is an ad executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton High school, in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. While in high school, she took part in performances with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne Smith was a part of her debut film appearance in the 1986 film Lucas with Winona Ryder and Corey Haim. In the late 1980s , she was also seen in a range of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). In 1998, she appeared as the star of the box-office chairman of the board, a failure, together with Carrot Top. In 2009, she was a character in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the 1990s. In June 2000, she was married Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple divorced in the month of January. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group, marketing company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. When she was 40, she had her first child on January 11 on the 11th of January, 2008 to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
